English Teacher (Full-Time, Ongoing) – Great School near Morwell, VIC

Are you a passionate English teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic school located near Morwell, in the Gippsland region of Victoria, which is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join its supportive and well-resourced team.

This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing ASAP. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 7–12, with the opportunity to teach VCE English depending on experience and the school's timetable.
About the Role As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Years 7–12, fostering students' love of reading, writing and critical thinking. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons across Years 7–12
• Develop students' reading, writing, speaking and critical analysis skills
• Create engaging, inclusive and well-managed learning experiences
• Assess and report on student progress in line with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements where applicable
• Contribute positively to the English faculty and wider school community
• Build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues to support student success

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
• A recognised teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education or equivalent)
• The ability to teach English across Years 7–12
• Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and, ideally, VCE English
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student wellbeing and achievement
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills
