As a Homeroom Teacher, you will guide a class of students academically and socially, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-expectations environment where every learner can thrive.


About the Role

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
• Take a lead pastoral role as a Homeroom Teacher – supporting wellbeing, attendance, and learning
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Embed literacy, reading, writing, speaking and listening across the learning program
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use assessment data to inform teaching and provide meaningful feedback
• Contribute to co-curricular activities, camps, and school events

About You

• Current VIT registration (essential)
• Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification with an English method
• A genuine love of literature, language, and student-centred learning
• Strong pastoral care skills and a warm, positive presence
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management
• A collaborative, reflective practitioner committed to continual improvement
