Inspired Recruitment is partnering with specialist and mainstream schools across Melbourne's northern suburbs to appoint Special Needs Teachers for the start of the 2027 school year.

These are full-time, permanent positions commencing in January 2027, with salaries ranging from $90,000 to $133,500 plus superannuation, depending on your experience. Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates who are already onshore.

About the roles

You will join supportive, close-knit teams in schools that pride themselves on a warm, collaborative working environment. You will plan and deliver individualised learning programs for students with a range of additional needs, working closely with education support staff, allied health professionals and families to help every student reach their potential.

What we are looking for

• A recognised teaching qualification and current VIT registration, or eligibility to obtain it before January 2027
• A qualification in Special Education, or at least two years of experience as a Special Needs Teacher
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
• A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
