The Opportunity

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive and special education and understands that student success looks different for every learner.

You will work with students who may have a range of additional learning, behavioural, developmental and/or social-emotional needs, creating structured, supportive and engaging learning experiences.

The successful teacher will be confident adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual needs while creating an environment where students feel safe, supported and capable of succeeding.

We Would Love to Hear From Teachers Who:

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification

• Have experience or a strong interest in Special Education, Learning Support or Inclusive Education

• Are confident differentiating curriculum for diverse learning needs

• Can develop positive and consistent relationships with students

• Bring patience, empathy, resilience and strong classroom management

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, families and other professionals

• Are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom

• Hold TRBNT registration and an Ochre Card, or are eligible and willing to obtain the required NT registration and clearances before commencement

• Have existing Australian working rights

Previous Special Education experience is highly regarded; however, we would also welcome applications from strong classroom teachers with relevant experience supporting students with additional needs who are looking to move further into this area.
