Science Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent) - Great School near Traralgon, VIC
Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a great school located near Traralgon, in the Gippsland region of Victoria (VIC), which is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join its supportive and well-resourced team.
This is a full-time, permanent position teaching Science to Years 7-10 through to the end of the year, with the exciting possibility to teach VCE Science from 2027 onwards, based on the successful teacher's skills and preferences. The school is ideally looking for a Term 3 start (13/07/2026).
Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 + super, based on experience
About the Role
As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Years 7-10, fostering students' curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking. You will create a positive, inclusive learning environment and support students to achieve strong outcomes, with the opportunity to progress into VCE Science teaching from 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Science lessons for Years 7-10
- Develop students' scientific knowledge, inquiry and practical laboratory skills
- Create engaging, inclusive and well-managed learning experiences
- Assess and report on student progress in line with the Victorian Curriculum
- Contribute positively to the Science faculty and wider school community
- Prepare for the possibility of teaching VCE Science from 2027 onwards
About You / Requirements
To be successful in this Science Teacher role, you will have:
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- A recognised teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education or equivalent)
- The ability to teach Science across Years 7-10
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and Science pedagogy
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student wellbeing and success
