Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Woodwork, Metals, and Design Technologies.
• Teach and assess courses across Years 7–12, with a focus on senior school programs.
• Integrate STEM principles, safety practices, and real-world applications into learning.
• Foster creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in student projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum pathways leading to VET and ATAR outcomes.
• Maintain workshop safety and oversee the use of machinery and tools in line with school policy and WHS standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current registration (or eligibility) with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Recognised teaching qualification in Design and Technologies, Industrial Arts, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Woodwork and/or Metals at secondary level.
• Strong understanding of safe workshop practices and student engagement strategies.
• Highly regarded:
  
  • Certificate II in Engineering Pathways or Certificate II in Furniture Design and Technology.
  • Experience delivering VET qualifications or working within senior school pathways.
