The Opportunity:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive Montessori-based curriculum 
  • Oversee the daily operations in the centre ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging setting for the children 
  •  Observe and assess each child's development
  • Apply Montessori principles and practices in the classroom
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with families
  • Provide regular updates on children's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive work environment
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and the Montessori method.
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and health and safety regulations
  • Prepare and maintain the classroom environment that is conducive to learning according to Montessori principles.
  • Support and mentor assistant educators and other staff members in the centre.
About You:
  • Holding or actively working towards an ACECQA approved ECT qualification
  • Possessing a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care 
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a current Blue Card, along with current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Montessori philosophy
